Continuing Education

2022 Continuing Education Requirements

Continuing Education (CE) is due on the even-numbered renewal years and must be completed prior to renewing your license. Only courses completed after March 31, 2020 for brokers, and May 31, 2020 for Salespersons will count toward the 2022 requirement (provided the courses were not already applied toward a previous year’s requirement). If you took the 2020 requirements late, you may NOT apply those courses again toward 2022. GHAR members can view your continuing education history (only classes taken through GHAR) by logging into GHAR's Member Portal.

IMPORTANT:
All 2020-2022 Mandatory Classes must be taken in person or live-virtual (not offered through The CE Shop or RE Campus). Elective Classes can be taken online, in person or via live virtual.

Complete 12 hours of continuing education courses from an approved school. The courses consist of the following:

  1. Two three-hour 2022 Mandatory CE Requirements:
    • CT Real Estate Law for Brokers and Salespersons
    • Understanding and Preventing Racial Bias in Real Estate
  2. Six hours of various elective courses.

Please be aware that it is the licensee’s obligation to retain all printed certificates of completion for a four year period, and provide them to DCP, should you receive an audit letter from DCP.
