GHAR is proud of the work that our membership leaders have completed through the numerous opportunities listed below. Committee Objectives
Bridge Committee
Bridges the gap between GHAR and underrepresented members by outreach and engagement through events, education, and support that enhances overall participation in GHAR. Meets as needed. -sign up-
Broker Services Committee
Identifies broker-owner needs and solutions. Meets as needed. -sign up-
Community Involvement Committee
Strengthen the relationship between REALTORS® and the Greater Hartford community. Determine what the Association can do to encourage, enrich, empower and enable the affinities that exist between the local community and the Association. Partners with charitable and housing organizations. Meets as needed. -sign up-
CT Commercial Real Estate Alliance
Commercial REALTORS® only group who work to develop programs, products and services for the commercial real estate community. Projects include: networking, scholarship(s), contract forms, and education classes. Meets as needed. -sign up-
Government Affairs Committee
Strives to build better government relations on state and local level. Encourages REALTOR® participation in government affairs programs and activities. Develops and implements fund-raising programs to promote Member investments in the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC). Meets as needed. -sign up-
Grievance Committee
Reviews ethics complaints and arbitration requests to determine if a hearing is warranted. Meets as needed. Must be an active REALTOR® member for at least 2 years. -sign up-
Legal Awareness Committee
Reviews current legal issues on behalf of membership and maintains the Association's real estate contracts and standard formsto comply with new real estate regulations and member protection needs. Meets as needed. -sign up-
Member Services Committee
Develops and schedules continuing education classes and professional development on timely issues affecting the real estate industry. Evaluates and recommends implementation of new products and services. Meets as needed. -sign up-
Professional Standards Committee
Provides hearing panels to determine matters of alleged unethical conduct by Members and arbitrates disputes regarding entitlement to compensation in cooperative transactions between REALTORS®. Serve on hearing panels as needed. Must have served a minimum of 2 years on Grievance and hold a current PSCS Designation. -sign up-
Regional Committees
Plan and deliver networking events, programs, and educational opportunities in your own market area. Three regions meet as needed: NORTHEAST, SOUTH, and WEST. -sign up-
Young Professionals Network (YPN)
GHAR's YPN plans events to engage young REALTORS® to promote their leadership and professional growth by providing educational and social networking events in a casual, progressive and fun environment. -sign up-
