New Member Requirements

Applicants have six months in which to complete the required Orientation program and Code of Ethics training. If the applicant does not attend the Orientation program within the required six month period, they will have to reapply for membership and submit another application fee.

1. Orientation Requirement

The GHAR Orientation program enables you to acquaint yourself with the Association, its programs, products and services, get a sense of the return on your membership investment and calls attention to your privileges and obligations. Orientation must be completed within six months from our receipt of your application. 

2019 Live Orientation schedule at GHAR

  • Thursday, August 1st: 10am to 12pm
  • Thursday, September 26th: 6pm to 8pm
  • Friday, November 22nd: 10am to 12pm

GHAR Orientation online
Take your new member orientation at your convenience online. To register for the online orientation program, please visit NAR’s website. The cost is $20 and a certificate of completion will be sent to you directly from NAR once you complete your Orientation requirement.

2. Code of Ethics Requirement

The Code of Ethics portion must be taken within 6 months of application: online at NAR’s website.

Designated REALTORS®

If the Designated REALTOR® does not attend the Orientation program within the required six month period, GHAR and MLS services will be terminated for the entire office, including any agents affiliated with that broker.
