The Greater Hartford Association of REALTORS® (GHAR) is your ally. We are here to help our members capitalize on the latest industry information, education and connections.

GHAR is largest local real estate trade association in Connecticut, serving over 5300 members in the Greater Hartford and Litchfield County real estate brokerage communities. The Association provides technology, training, networking and business support to members, and supports a healthy real estate market by upholding high professional and ethical standards through a Code of Ethics, ongoing education and certification programs. As the advocate for the real estate brokerage industry, GHAR is the Voice for Real Estate® in the Northwest CT and Greater Hartford regions.

GHAR Foundation

The Foundation was established at the request of the membership – the idea for the Foundation came from the strategic planning session in 2011 – members wanted a 501(c)(3) corporation that could accept tax deductible contributions in order to set up charitable donations to individual GHAR fundraisers. The Foundation formalizes the charitable efforts of the Association and has given tens of thousands of dollars to numerous charity organizations, most of which are housing related. FIND OUT MORE

GHAR Strategic Plan

GHAR's strategic plan is the process of defining our strategy or direction, and making decisions on allocating our resources to reach these strategic goals. Various GHAR leaders and staff meet for a retreat every 3 years to make adjustments while staying true to our values and mission.
