GHAR Foundation for Hope

The GHAR Foundation for Hope was established at the request of the membership from the strategic planning session in 2011. The goal being a 501(c)(3) corporation that could accept tax deductible contributions in order to set up charitable donations to housing-related, vetted 501c3 charitable organizations. The Foundation also supports the GHAR Good Neighbor Award recipients.

Mission Statement: The GHAR Foundation for Hope empowers REALTORS® to give back with a focus on homelessness and housing issues in Connecticut.

Examples of Foundation recipients: 

Rebuilding Together Hartford, Journey Home, Favarh- the Arc of the Farmington Valley, Realtors® Relief Foundation, Interval House, Village for Families & Children, Coalition on Housing + Homelessness, Chrysalis Center, My Sisters' Place, and many more.

The Foundation is independent of GHAR. The Greater Hartford Association of REALTORS® Foundation, Inc. was established in February 2011 as a separate entity, with a Board of Trustees that is comprised of appointed members of GHAR.
