Effective October 1, 2025, the State of Connecticut has expanded its Fair Housing protections to include two new protected classes:

  • Status as a victim of sexual assault
  • Status as a victim of trafficking in persons

Under the revised statute, individuals may not be discriminated against in housing on the basis of either of these statuses. In compliance with these statutory changes, the following GHAR Forms have been updated to reflect the new protected classes:
