The Greater Hartford Association of REALTORS® (GHAR) held a fundraiser on July 16th to raise funds for Hands on Hartford, a social service nonprofit organization that serves Hartford’s most economically challenged residents in the areas of food, housing, and health. Event participants enjoyed great food and beverages from three generous South Windsor restaurants: Burton's Grill, Ted's Montana Grill, and Golf Lounge 18. The evening included prizes donated by sponsors and area businesses.

According to the Greater Hartford Association of REALTORS® (GHAR), the median sales price of single-family homes in Greater Hartford increased 3.5 percent (from $425,000 to $440,000), over July of last year. Closed sales remained unchanged at 516 and pending sales decreased 2.0 percent (from 511 to 501). Housing inventory rose 3.3 percent (from 759 to 784) and new listings decreased 1.0 percent (from 589 to 583). The average days on market until sale dropped 18.8 percent (from 16 to 13 days), over July of 2024.

According to the Greater Hartford Association of REALTORS® (GHAR), the median sales price of single-family homes in Greater Hartford decreased 0.2 percent (from $440,000 to $439,000), over June of last year. Closed sales increased 0.6 percent (from 503 to 506) and pending sales increased 9.2 percent (from 499 to 545). Housing inventory dipped 0.7 percent (from 739 to 734) and new listings increased 5.1 percent (from 592 to 622). The average days on market until sale remained unchanged at 15 days, over June of 2024.

The Connecticut REALTORS^® Foundation recently awarded their 2025 Raymond F. Gates, Jr. Memorial Scholarships.  The Raymond F. Gates, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1976 in memory of Raymond F. Gates, Jr. following his tragic death in an automobile accident.  Mr. Gates was the Executive Vice President of the Connecticut REALTORS®. Over the past 49 years, children of REALTORS^® have been awarded scholarships totaling more than $1,000,000.

According to the Greater Hartford Association of REALTORS® (GHAR), closed of single-family homes in Greater Hartford increased 9.2 percent (from 393 to 429), when compared to May of 2024. The median sales price increased 1.6 percent (from $413,500 to $420,000) and pending sales increased 2.8 percent (from 460 to 473). Housing inventory decreased 2.9 percent (from 714 to 693) and new listings were also down 0.5 percent (from 616 to 613). The average days on market until sale decreased 11.1 percent (from 18 to 16 days), over May of last year.

The Greater Hartford Association of REALTORS^® (GHAR) will use a $6,000 Placemaking grant from the National Association of Realtors^® to help transform unused space in Keney Park into vibrant, public destination for community use and enjoyment. 

According to the Greater Hartford Association of REALTORS® (GHAR), the median sales price of single-family homes in Greater Hartford rose 9.8 percent (from $383,727 to $421,500), when compared to April of last year. Closed sales decreased 1.7 percent (from 350 to 344) and pending sales dipped 1.4 percent (from 435 to 429). Housing inventory decreased 4.5 percent (from 621 to 593) and new listings also decreased 9.2 percent (from 588 to 534). The average days on market until sale decreased 10.5 percent (from 19 to 17 days), over April of 2024.

The Greater Hartford Association of REALTORS^® (GHAR) is proud to announce that Wendy Eichman, a GHAR member and broker with Raynard & Peirce Realty, is the recipient of the 2025 GHAR Good Neighbor Award. The award is in recognition of her charitable work on behalf of Couch Pipa VFW Post 6851 in Caanan, CT. The award recognizes a REALTOR^® who has made an extraordinary impact on their community through their volunteer time and talents. As a result of Wendy’s volunteer work, VFW Post 6851 will receive $1,000 from the GHAR Foundation.

According to the Greater Hartford Association of REALTORS® (GHAR), the median sales price of single-family homes in Greater Hartford rose 5.6 percent (from $370,000 to $396,250), when compared to March of last year. Closed sales decreased 4.8 percent (from 290 to 276) and pending sales increased 4.9 percent (from 347 to 364). Housing inventory increased 2.9 percent (from 514 to 529) and new listings also increased 15.6 percent (from 398 to 460). The average days on market until sale decreased 10.3 percent (from 29 to 26 days), over March of 2024.

According to the Greater Hartford Association of REALTORS® (GHAR), closed sales of single-family homes in Greater Hartford increased 2.9 percent (from 241 to 248) when compared to February of last year. Pending sales also increased 16.2 percent (from 272 to 316) and the median sales price rose 5.6 percent (from $360,000 to $380,000). Housing inventory decreased 7.9 percent (from 505 to 465) and new listings dropped 12.6 percent (from 349 to 305). The average days on market until sale decreased 18.2 percent (from 33 to 27 days), over February of 2024.
