2022 GHAR Good Neighbor Award Winner Announced

By Keara Langston

Local Realtor Association Announces Annual Good Neighbor Award Winner
$1000 awarded to US Horse Welfare & Rescue

(Hartford, Conn., April 21, 2022) – The Greater Hartford Association of Realtors® (GHAR) is proud to announce that Veronica Marshall, a Realtor® with William Raveis, is the recipient of the 2022 GHAR Good Neighbor Award in recognition of her charitable work on behalf of the US Horse Welfare & Rescue (USHWR). The award recognizes a Realtor® who has made an extraordinary impact on their community through their volunteer time and talents. As a result of Veronica’s volunteer work, USHWR will receive $1000 from the GHAR Foundation.

Marshall has volunteered for USHWR since 2019 and currently serves on the Board of Directors. She not only helps organize their signature fundraising event, After the Roses, but also volunteers every Saturday morning to help feed and turnout the animals. She is particularly proud of the events for the community to come meet the horses and the after-school programs for kids.

“Once, I visited the barn, I instantly knew I wanted to support and give back to these horses. There is a healing benefit to humans with animals. At the rescue farm, we rescue horses but the horses rescue humans, too,” said Marshall, GHAR 2022 award winner.

“Realtors are champions of their communities and Veronica is a great example because of her time and hard work dedicated to US Horse Welfare & Rescue. On behalf of GHAR’s membership, we are proud to present this award to Veronica and her charity,” states GHAR CEO, Holly Callanan.

The GHAR Good Neighbor Award program is organized by the Community Involvement Committee of GHAR with criteria provided by the National Association of Realtors®.
