New Member Roadmap
Applicants have six months in which to complete the required Orientation program and Code of Ethics training. If the applicant does not attend the Orientation program within the required six month period, they will have to reapply for membership and submit another application fee.
1. Orientation Requirement
The GHAR Orientation program enables you to acquaint yourself with the Association, its programs, products and services, get a sense of the return on your membership investment and calls attention to your privileges and obligations. Orientation must be completed within six months from our receipt of your application.
Look for ‘New Member Orientation’ in the GHAR Calendar to register
2. NAR Training Requirements
Code of Ethics Training
The Code of Ethics portion must be taken within 6 months of application: online at NAR’s website (choose "For New Members" option).

REALTORS® are required to complete Fair Housing / Anti-Bias Training within 6 months of application, and every 3 years thereafter, coinciding with the Code of Ethics training timeline. This requirement is in addition to the Code of Ethics training. This requirement begins January 1, 2025 with a deadline of December 31, 2027.
NAR Fair Housing Course Options
