The Greater Hartford Association of REALTORS® (GHAR) Foundation for Hope is proud to announce that Terrie Thomas, a GHAR member with eXp Realty, is the recipient of the 2026 GHAR Good Neighbor Award. The award is in recognition of her charitable work on behalf of the Foundation for Educational Opportunities. The award recognizes a REALTOR® who has made an extraordinary impact on their community through their volunteer time and talents. As a result of Ms. Thomas’ volunteer work, the Foundation for Educational Opportunities (FEO, Inc) will receive $1,000 from the GHAR Foundation for Hope.

For over two years, Ms. Thomas has demonstrated a consistent commitment to the Youth Leadership Institute (YLI), a youth-led and highly interactive leadership development program designed to empower and engage middle school students in the Greater Hartford area. The program, organized by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Epsilon Omicron Omega Chapter, is designed to create meaningful learning experiences where students build confidence, strengthen leadership skills, and prepare for college, careers, and active community engagement.

“I have had the privilege of witnessing the growth and development of young individuals eager to find their paths in life,” said Ms. Thomas, 2026 Good Neighbor Award winner.

“Terrie’s dedication to the Youth Leadership Institute is a great example of how real estate agents are champions of their communities. On behalf of GHAR’s membership, we are proud to present this award to Terrie and the Foundation for Educational Opportunities.” states GHAR CEO, Holly Callanan.

The GHAR Good Neighbor Award program is organized by the Community Involvement Committee of GHAR with criteria provided by the National Association of Realtors®.
