The Greater Hartford Association of REALTORS^® (GHAR) is proud to announce that Wendy Eichman, a GHAR member and broker with Raynard & Peirce Realty, is the recipient of the 2025 GHAR Good Neighbor Award. The award is in recognition of her charitable work on behalf of Couch Pipa VFW Post 6851 in Caanan, CT. The award recognizes a REALTOR^® who has made an extraordinary impact on their community through their volunteer time and talents. As a result of Wendy’s volunteer work, VFW Post 6851 will receive $1,000 from the GHAR Foundation.

The Greater Hartford Association of REALTORS® (GHAR) Foundation, event sponsors, and attendees raised $3200 for Rebuilding Together Hartford. Donations were made through a Comedy Night Fundraiser on September 5th at Warehouse 635 in West Hartford. Rebuilding Together Hartford is a nonprofit dedicated to helping low-income homeowners through home renovation and repair. Their vision is to provide safe homes and communities for everyone.  

GHAR is proud to present Bill Arzt, Broker/Owner of Realty ONE Group Cutting Edge, as the 2024 GHAR ROTY, the highest honor given to a REALTOR^® by their peers at the local level!!! 

The Greater Hartford Association of REALTORS® (GHAR) held a fundraiser on June 26th to raise funds for The Network, a non-profit that provides counseling, shelter and emergency care for victims of domestic abuse. Event participants enjoyed great food and beverages from three generous South Windsor restaurants: Burton's Grill, Red Heat, and Ted's Montana Grill. The evening included prizes donated by sponsors and area businesses.

GHAR is proud to represent 33 Gate's Scholarship Winners for the 2024-2025 academic year! 

The Connecticut REALTORS® Foundation receives applications for the Raymond F Gates Scholarship Award. The scholarship program is open to children of CT REALTORS® members and board staff who are graduating high school seniors or are enrolled in an accredited college, vocational-technical or graduate program with at least one term remaining.

The Greater Hartford Association of REALTORS^® (GHAR) is proud to announce that Jon Sheaffer, a GHAR member and broker of Sheaffer & Co. Real Estate, is the recipient of the 2024 GHAR Good Neighbor Award. The award is in recognition of his charitable work on behalf of The Kids of Summer Foundation. The award recognizes a REALTOR^® who has made an extraordinary impact on their community through their volunteer time and talents. As a result of Jon’s volunteer work, as well as the work of his co-founder Feliks Viner, The Kids of Summer Foundation will receive $1000 from the GHAR Foundation.

The Greater Hartford Association of REALTORS® (GHAR), the second largest real estate association in New England, recently issued an acknowledgment letter for past discriminatory practices and policies. GHAR is determined to ensure the social and equitable growth of the organization.

GHAR held a fundraiser on July 19^th to raise funds for Mary’s Place, a non-profit in Windsor for grieving children and families. Event participants enjoyed great food and live music from three generous Middletown restaurants: Esca Wine Bar, La Boca Mexican Restaurant, and Mezzo Grill. The evening included prizes donated by sponsors and area businesses.

The Connecticut REALTORS^® Foundation announced their 2023 Raymond F. Gates, Jr. Memorial Scholarship winners.  The Raymond F. Gates, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1976 in memory of Raymond F. Gates, Jr. following his tragic death in an automobile accident.  Mr. Gates was the Executive Vice President of the Connecticut REALTORS®. Over the past 47 years, children of REALTORS^® have been awarded scholarships totaling more than $1,000,000.
