“Steady home prices are a positive sign. Growth in pending and closed sales, along with an increase in new listings, suggests an active June housing market,” said GHAR CEO, Holly Callanan.
In the national outlook, Lawrence Yun, National Association of REALTORS® chief economist stated: "The relatively subdued sales are largely due to persistently high mortgage rates. Lower interest rates will attract more buyers and sellers to the housing market. Increasing participation in the housing market will increase the mobility of the workforce and drive economic growth."
